About me
I’m Jolie Lambert! I’m a singer, actor, and dancer based in DFW.
I grew up in Dallas, Texas, performing in various shows at school and community theatre. My passion for theatre started very young, when my sister and I would make movies all day every day for our parents to enjoy. I did my first play, Rapunzel, when I was nine years old, and I immediately knew I wanted to continue; I told my mother that the stage “felt like home.” Since then, I have dedicated my time to training in many different dance studios, learning the movement vocabulary of jazz, tap, ballet, and hip hop, and developing my vocal and acting technique. I have further been able to do this at the University of Texas at Arlington, where I received my BFA in musical theatre with a Dance Minor at the University of Texas at Arlington.
I most recently played Sonya in Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812 at The University of Texas at Arlington. Some special interests of mine include dance of all kinds, but especially tap. I love Shakespeare, and find joy diving into the text. I love to play the piano, and I took lessons growing up. My specialty in piano is classical but I also love to accompany myself and others.
I am a type nine ennegream, which means I am an open-minded peacemaker; adaptable and accepting. I love all things nature! I am super into fashion and thrifting. I love 70’s music like Fleetwood Mac. I am currently a barista at 7 Brew, where our motto is “Cultivate Kindness.” I want to manage my own coffee shop one day because I believe a good coffee shop can turn people’s days around. My ultimate goal is to make art that gives opportunities to and empowers women. I have an interest in utilizing movement in work in unexpected ways.
What’s Next?
Soon, I plan to begin my move to New York City!
